I love old tractors, and I especially love old John Deere tractors that we used on our farm. I was looking at some old photos that my great-aunt Nola took, which contain a John Deere Model A. I would love to find out about what year this tractor is. I think it’d be fun to find one and restore one, especially where my grandfather spent so much time on it. Ideally the exact tractor would be nice, but that’s not going to happen. So I thought I’d post the photo, and if anyone can figure out what year it is I’d sure appreciate it! My guess is between a 1939-1941. Click on the image for a larger version.
This year we had some amazing snow. It was exceptionally deep too. Now, we’re into some pretty heavy flooding. This is a video I took of the South Fork of Tincup bridge yesterday, along with some photos I shot along State Line Road.
We’ve been needing to clean up his eye sore for a very long time, and tonight it finally happened–the old trailer house was burned down. The Thayne Fire Department came and used it as a training exercise. It was fun watching and drew a lot of attention as people watched it burn.

I was really hoping to update this more often, but I tend to get busy and forget, then before I know a month is gone… But to prove that I have been alive I could either bore you with a lot of text, or I could post some photos of what I’ve seen over the past few months. I know it doesn’t really tell anything that I’ve done, but it’s fun to share!
