Song: Oh My Father

**Elder Dallin H. Oaks

Matthew 16:24-25 – 24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

April 2009 General Conference

Sunday Morning Session

**President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Today is palm Sunday.
This is a race of endurance, we need to apply and reapply the principles every day of our life.
Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We need to get off the sidelines, and practice what we preach.

Ubuntu 9.04

4 April, 2009 (22:18) | Tehchnology | By: Kyle Weber

It’s that time of year again! Ubuntu 9.04 is on its way.  For a list of new features click on the Ubuntu icon.  Why do I mention Ubuntu before each release?  Although I’m an avid Mac user, I believe that Ubuntu is a valid alternative for those who cannot run a Mac on their existing hardware.  Windows is my least choice of all ;)

Another Semester Gone…

1 April, 2009 (14:59) | School | By: Kyle Weber

Next week is the end of Winter Semester 2009 here at BYU-Idaho. It also happens to be my last semester as a student here. That’s right–I’m graduating. I’ll be a graduated student with a degree in Computer Information Technology. It’s been a good semester, as well as a good experience. In the beginning all thoughts and emotions say that it can’t get over fast enough. But now that it’s finally here it’s a bag of mixed emotions. I’ve made a lot of good friendships over the years and have had a lot of fun, but as with all things it eventually comes to an end.

Yeah… It happens…

A friend of mine from school (Erik Lindstrom) came up this weekend to go riding. He did pretty good, but it was his first time. Needless to say, he found the creek…

March is here, and along with it signs of Spring, and one of those signs is the birth of new baby calves in the beef heard.

Hold down the shift key while selecting the standard command option escape to force-quit the foreground application (vs bringing up the dialog or using the dock icon, which in this case hold option for force quit).

Follow Me on Twitter

In case you’ve never heard of twitter, it’s a social networking service that makes it very easy to see what your friends are doing, as well as tell your friends what you are doing.  If you want to follow me, I’ve made it very easy by adding a link on the lower right side of my site (which also shows my updates), and you can also follow me by clicking here.

I love February

17 February, 2009 (00:09) | Personal, Photography | By: Kyle Weber

February is the best month of the year. Why? Because it has the best snow of the year, and you’ve had all of January to get excited about it (not quite as cold and the days are a little longer)! I had a great weekend–from the nostalgia moments I had with my friend as we went through my old classic Macintosh collection to enjoying the snow on presidents day.

How to Verify Files with an MD5 Hash

13 February, 2009 (10:50) | Tehchnology | By: Kyle Weber

With so much fraud and problems with security on the internet, it’s sometimes hard to know if a file you download on the internet is what you think it is or not.  Fortunately, you have a way of taking a “fingerprint” of any file you wish to post, and likewise a way of verifying any file you download against that same “fingerprint”.  The instructions I give for this tutorial (and every tutorial I’ll do) will be for the Mac, but most everything I show will be able to be done in any *nix OS.  Sorry Windows users.
